How your study plan is structured

1. Learn

Approximately two-thirds of the schedule. Cover every syllabus topic on your exam paper in sequence, completing a short practice quiz after each study session.

2. Review

Approximately one-fifth of the schedule. Practice volume doubles, with emphasis on your weakest topics and previously missed questions.

3. Mock exams

The final weeks. Complete two full-length timed mock exams per week under exam conditions, and book your exam only after scoring 75% or higher on two.

Does the planner cover 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st Class papers?

About this planner

Built by BoilerIQ, a Winnipeg-based power engineering company that supplies relief power engineers and Guarded Status coverage to Manitoba plants, and SOPEEC-aligned practice exams to students across Canada. Every plan is built and reviewed by our team of licensed power engineers, people who run boiler rooms and write these exams themselves, so the advice comes from the plant floor, not a textbook.

Exam paper topics and formats are based on the SOPEEC standard as published by TSASK (reviewed October 2026). Practice-question and mock-exam targets are BoilerIQ recommendations, not regulatory requirements. Confirm exam details with your provincial regulator before booking. See the 5th Class Power Engineer Roadmap for eligibility requirements by province.
